Villa
María was the ranch of Pereda family, traditional Argentine
land barons. Some years ago it was sold to its current and charming
elegant owner Eleonora Nazar. It is a working ranch, raising Hereford
cattle in an extension of 3,700 acres of flat and rolling countryside,
located less than an hour away from the city of Buenos Aires, and in
the heart of the Pampas. It is the ideal retreat for a peaceful
week-end or a day trip from Buenos Aires, to enjoy a true day in the
Argentine country.
The seignorial main house is a Tudor
manor of great beauty, conceived by Argentina's most prestigious
architect, Alejandro Bustillo in 1920, with a fabulous 110 acre park
designed by French landscaper Carlos Thays in the twenties, spotted
with lovely sculptures, and the foreground of a pretty lake. Villa

"LA
BAMBA" is a charming estancia located in the surroundings of

unchanged since 1830, along with the historic relics gracing its
interiors. It was once a post-house where travelers in transit on the
"King's Road" rested and stagecoaches hitched up fresh
horses. Closeby is the ranch where the famed gaucho "Don Segundo
Sombra" lived, made immortal by writer Ricardo Güiraldes'writings.
Many very well known Argentine personalities have lived in this
