The Quillén is a beautiful river embedded in a dreamlike setting. Its crystal-clear waters are home to rainbow, brown and brook trout. It is easy to wade and offers a varied scenery of runs, pools and long productive flats that are ideal for dry-fly fishing. The average trout size is 14 inches. We also fish the Malalco, Nahuel Mapi, Rucachoroy and Pulmari rivers. Lake Quillén offers good possibilities at the mouth of the many streams that feed into it, and these may be reached by boat and combined with a barbecue lunch in this lovely site. |
| We stay at Estancias Quillén and Puerto Lussich, traditional Patagonian ranches that border with Chile, in a heavenly setting with the view of the towering Andes, at 3,000 feet above sea level, in the Lanín National Park, with a stunning view of the Lanín volcano. Varied non-fishing activities are available as horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, river rafting, water sports and visits to Indian reservations. |
